Stephen Hawking BLOG, our newest RSS Feed

    We have a new BLOG (via a RSS Feed) written by Stephen Hawking whom is regarded by most as the number one cosmologist in the world. 

Presently he is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. He has 3 children and 1 grandchild. Enjoys traveling the world giving lectures on the state of our universe, writing books, and spending time with his family. He suffers from ALS and is very active in charities and helping people with this disability. This is his my passion, second only to his love of the science of cosmology.

Science Articles Written By: Dr. Michio Kaku

     Dr. Michio Kaku is an internationally recognized authority in theoretical physics and the environment. His most popular and best selling books include "Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps and the Tenth Dimension" and "Visions: How Science Will Revolutionize the 21st Century", which have been widely translated in different languages. His recent book "Parallel Worlds: a Journey Through Creation, Higher Dimensions, and the Future of the Cosmos," was selected as a finalist for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction in the UK (the rough equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize) and also a finalist for the Aventis Science Book Prize (UK).

Today, Dr. Michio Kaku holds the Henry Semat Professorship in Theoretical Physics at the City University of New York (CUNY), where he has taught for over 25 years.

He has been the narrator for many Science Television Shows (subjects, mainly Astronomy / Cosmology) on the National Geographic and Discovery Channels.

On some of these shows he explains black holes, gene therapy, aging, space travel, artificial intelligence, SETI, and futurology. (these are just a some of the things that he describes)

The Competition

The Seti UNIVERSE FORUM is having a competition in three categories. The competition will be continuous, with a winner being chosen once a month from each category. 

The categories are:
1. Whoever has the most postings.
2. The most popular member – this will be determined by the most views per post.
3. The best suggestion – the suggestion that has the best (most profound) effect upon Seti UNIVERSE will win this category.

At the end of the month a winner will be chosen from each category. That person will be contacted by email or PM. (Private Message) A profile along with a picture, avatar, (if a picture is unavailable) or just the write up will appear on the homepage of Seti UNIVERSE.

The profile will consist of a statement from the winner, along with a summary of their interest.

So if you have a nagging question, pose that question on one of our forums. If the forum category does not exist for your question, request that a new forum be created in the “PROBLEMS Or SUGGESTIONS Forum” and that will also count in the competition.

This competition is for members only. So if you are not a member, just register to become a member, its Free.

New Artist Adds Her Artwork To The Space Art Gallery

Here is a little excerp from her biography "I work in isolation but always have my music on the loud side. I have also been teaching the wet on wet technique for 8 years at 5 locations around my state. New Space Artist / Illustrator joins our Space Art Gallery

Mr. David A. Hardy another renowned artist, has decided to display his space art on Seti UNIVERSE. He has illustrated and produced covers for dozens (maybe hundreds) of books, both fact and fiction, including many by Patrick Moore, some by Arthur C. Clarke and Carl Sagan.

He has written books which bear his name as author (or co-author) as well as illustrator. He even has a minor planet named after him. (29 March 2003: "Minor Planet (13329) was named Davidhardy = 1998 SB32. Discovered 1998 Sept. 20 by Spacewatch at Kitt Peak.)


He has appeared on television on BBC TV's THE SKY AT NIGHT with Sir Patrick Moore (February, July and August 2003) and his Space Illustrations have also appeared on the BBC News.

New Audio Files Added to the Multi-Media Section

You will be presented with a wealth of excepts from various science fiction programs.
